We recently welcomed our customers to Otodata’s headquarters in Montreal for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility—where every Otodata monitor begins its journey.
Precision in Every Step: The Assembly Line
The tour began at our main production floor, where guests witnessed the meticulous process of monitor assembly. From programming and testing the PC boards to fitting them with batteries and sealing them hermetically, every step is designed for durability and reliability. Cables are attached, and the monitor enclosures are ultrasonically sealed to ensure a seamless, waterproof finish. Each unit is then laser-etched with the Nee-Vo logo—or custom branded for select customers.
Visitors also explored our shipping and receiving area, where organization and efficiency ensure timely delivery across the globe.
“I had a great experience touring Otodata’s facilities. Their expertise in telemetry is evident in every aspect of their operation—from product design to execution. It’s clear they’re leaders in the space.” – Otodata customer
Clean Tech: Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Facility
The next stop was our SMT facility just a block away, where PC boards are populated with components using advanced surface mount technology. Everyone suited up in anti-static gear before entering the cleanroom environment—an essential precaution to protect sensitive electronics from static discharge. This step underscores our commitment to quality at every level of production.
Hospitality Meets Innovation
After the factory tour, guests enjoyed a catered lunch and a walk-through of our corporate offices. Stops included R&D, Marketing, Customer Service, and a brief visit to our Quality Control department, where rigorous testing ensures every monitor meets Otodata’s exacting standards.
Closing with Insight
The day concluded with a presentation by Otodata President André Boulay, followed by a round-table discussion that gave customers a chance to share feedback, ask questions, and connect directly with our leadership team.
